Travel industry deals with Swine Flu

in Travel News

Over the last week the travel industry has had to deal with the outbreak of a new flu pandemic as cases of swine flu have emerged around the world. As public health warnings about the outbreak of swine flu have been issued across the globe both United States and Mexico health officials are suggesting that all travel to Mexico be postponed until further notice. This scare towards travel in Mexico couldn’t have come at a worse time for a country that has seen a significant decrease in tourism as negative publicity towards violent drug cartels curbs travel to the region. With so many favorite travel locations in Mexico, many people in good health feel safe traveling to areas like Cancun, Puerto Vallarta, and Acapulco. Regardless, public health concerns are still something to consider before making travel plans.
